I'm a (mostly analogue) photographer based in Berlin. After receiving my degree in Media Informatics in 2016, I studied photography at Ostkreuz School for Photography in Berlin and finished my studies in 2022 in the graduation class of Ute Mahler and Linn Schröder. In 2023, I was chosen to be a participant of the Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation masterclass programme "La jeune photographie allemande" in collaboration with Goethe Institute Paris. Besides my photographic practise, I work as a motion graphics and vfx artist.
My artistic approach is strongly influenced by my interest in psychology – perception in particular. That's why I like to explore the tension between truth and deception, and why I often combine documentary and fiction within my photographic narratives. Thus, themes like memory, nostalgia and identity often play a central role in my work.
In 2022, I self-published my first photo book "A Myth in the Making".
Together with photographer Tim Bruns and photo historian Annekathrin Müller, I co-founded Fotoskopia in 2025, an exhibition project dedicated to bring contemporary photography to life in rural areas where it has had little presence to date, thereby hoping to enable cultural participation.
